Before posting in Everything WordPress
-
Hello and welcome to the Everything WordPress sub-forum!
The description on this sub-forum is
For relevant questions and problems not covered in the other forums.
But that doesn’t necessarily mean “Post here first”. 😉
Hopefully this post will help sort that out.
Post here in this sub-forum if you are
- Trying to report a problem with the Make Blogs or other WordPress.ORG sites outside of these forums.
- Looking for advice about WordPress software support that’s not quite tangible or reproducible. For example “How can I get this effect as seen on <POPULAR NEWS SITE>”. Careful with links, the moderators will delete anything that appears to be spammy.
- Have questions about WordPress.ORG as a volunteer organization. Want to get involved? Don’t know how the Theme/Support/Training/Documentaion/etc. teams work? Here is the place to ask.
Please do not post in this sub-forum for support of your WordPress site. The better place to post is in the Fixing WordPress sub-forum via this link.
https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/#new-post
This includes anything that your WordPress site is doing that you do not think it should be.
If you have a plugin or theme problem then please search for that item.
Plugins
https://wordpress.org/plugins/Themes
https://wordpress.org/themes/Once you’ve located the plugin or theme then post in that item’s support sub-forum.
For example, if you’ve a problem with the “TinyMCE Advanced” plugin you can search for it.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=TinyMCE+Advanced
The first hit will take you to that plugin page.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/tinymce-advanced/
In that page you can locate the “View Forum Support” link.
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/tinymce-advanced
To create a new support topic there at the bottom of that page.
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/tinymce-advanced#new-post
The theme support is the same but search for your theme via this URL.
Topics posted in the Everything Else sub-forum may be moved by a moderator to Fixing WordPress.
If you cannot find your topic please click on your profile link at the top right of any forum page.
From there, you will see a link to “Topics Started”.
That will show you the links to your topics.
