    I had installed it hoping it would do its job, but instead, my website had issues with Google Search Console. In practice, Google found many problems, coincidentally since I removed this plugin, my site is starting to get indexed, and Google Search Console no longer highlights errors. As far as I’m concerned, this plugin is garbage.

    Our plugin is designed to facilitate the easier indexing of your website by search engines. In addition to generating the necessary meta tags and schema markup within your page’s source code, it also generates an XML sitemap that can be submitted to search engines.     If, during your use of Yoast SEO, your website faced difficulties with indexing, it is possible that the “Allow search engines to show post/page in search results” option was set to “No” for some of your content types, which is not the default setting.
