Installation

The first option is to install Jetpack Social from within your WP Admin.

To begin, click on the Plugins link in the left hand sidebar, then click Add New.
Search for Jetpack Social. The latest version will be in the search results. Click the Install Now button.
Next, click the Activate button. After activating, you can navigate to “Jetpack → Social” in your admin area.

Manual Alternatives

Alternatively, install Jetpack Social via the plugin directory, or upload the files manually to your server and follow the on-screen instructions.

FAQ

How do I connect to social networks?

From your site’s WP Admin:

Navigate to Jetpack → Social.
Click on the Manage Connections button.
Click Connect next to the social network you want to connect to.
Log in to that social network site and authorize the connection.

You can connect to any of the following networks:

Facebook Pages
Tumblr
LinkedIn
Mastodon
Instagram Business

After you add a new connection, you have the option to make the connection ‘global’, meaning it can also be used by any other user on your site who has the ability to publish posts.

To make the connection available to all users, check the box labeled “Connection available to all administrators, editors, and authors”.

To which social media platforms can I post using Jetpack Social?

You can post to Facebook, Instagram Business, Tumblr, Mastodon and Linkedin. We are working hard to increase our social share integrations.

How do I share a post on social media using Jetpack Social?

To configure the Publicize options when writing a new post, click the green Jetpack icon at top right of the edit sidebar.

You’ll then see the Publicize options under the Share this post section, where you can toggle social media connections, connect new services, and write a custom message to be used when your post is shared.

How do I add a custom excerpt to my social posts?

The easiest way is to use the Custom Message option in the publishing options box prior to publishing your post.

Fairly easy to set up and automate your posts within Wordpress and soc med sites. I had an issue where I was using EA duplicate to duplicate some postsm but the custom message was being duplicated too. Working with Paul from the support on the plugins forum, we discovered the issue and solved it.

the fee for value is broken. I can re post with a link to the handful of sites I use. ITs not worth the ridiculous cost. When will Jetpack look at TOTAL COST of ownership for their model? If I used all teh tools I wanted or needed for a site that is not for profit zero revenue site its crazy. EVEN if I was generating revenue your cost would be the single highest cost for the site. Which is why I have gone to substack I no longer use wordpress or your expensive junk

30 free shares a month? Or more than 100 € per year for sharing posts to facebook? It's a joke and now it's enough! Jetpack has been disconnected at our Wordpress-blog.

I paid 63 Euro for 1 year to share the posts to 4 social networks:facebook,twitter,linkedin and tumblr. From traffic statistics all the traffic comes from twitter and facebook but recently jetpack has problem to connect with twitter. There are other plugins share to more than 10 social networks but are really expensive. I don't considered tumblr really important. First is twitter, second facebook and after linkedin,instagram,tiktok,pinterest. Other social networks don't bring anything. At first i was receiving 10-30 visitors per day but after the traffic fall when the plugin couldn't integrate with twitter (posts couldn't shared in twitter) which is the best source of traffic. For now, the money i paid didn't worth the plugin.
